Free Ohio BMV Permit Practice Test 2024

This Ohio BMV practice test has just been updated for December 2024 and covers 40 of the most essential road signs and rules questions directly from the official 2024 OH Driver Handbook. The first step to driving in Ohio is to pass a BMV written test to get your temporary instruction permit or TIPIC. If you’re 15 ½ or older, you are eligible to take the written test and get your TIPIC. The knowledge assessment will have 40 multiple-choice questions that cover traffic laws and vehicle regulations. To pass, you’ll need to score 75% or higher, so it can be useful to use BMV practice tests like this one. In addition to the written knowledge exam, you’ll also need to pass a vision test, and pay a $22 fee. Ohioans also have the option of signing up as an organ donor with their TIPIC, starting at age 15 ½ instead of the typical age 18 requirements.
